How to File Monthly Statement
This guide outlines the step-by-step process for filing a Monthly Statement in NetFile. Please follow each step carefully to ensure your filing is complete and accurate.
Steps
Navigate to the NetFile filer account and sign in using your credentials.
Before creating a draft of your Monthly Statement, navigate to the Transactions tab and enter all required disclosures. This includes:
Activity Expenses
Campaign Contributions
Contacts
Promised Payments
Make sure all applicable transactions are entered before moving on to the next step.
If you have no transactions to report for the filing period, you can skip to Step 3
Hover over the Statements tab and select New Monthly Statement from the dropdown menu.
Click in the box under Statement Date and choose the month for which you are filing the statement.
If you want to Terminate your status as a Lobbyist, check the Termination Statement box at the bottom.
Terminated lobbyists no longer need to file monthly reports, but if they qualify as a lobbyist later in the year will need to pay the $500 registration fee again.
Click on the Create Draft
Go to the Home Page
View the Newly Created Draft then E-file the statement
