What is my Disclosure Category?

Disclosure categories describe the type of economic interests an individual must disclose. Each Designated Position is assigned a Disclosure Category based on how much authority they have. Positions with more authority typically require more disclosure than those with less authority.

To determine your Disclosure Category, visit San Francisco’s conflict of interest code. and locate your department. Each position that is required to file a Form 700 (“Designated Positions”) will be listed along with their Disclosure Category. For example:
